Funds Available for Implementation, System Capacity, and Engagement
In 2023, the Biophilia Foundation launched an effort to increase the speed and scale of riverscape restoration using low-tech, process-based restoration methods (LTPBR). This initiative will continue in 2026, with grants available for implementation, system capacity, and engagement.
Grants of $50,000 to $100,000 are available for projects that implement LTPBR and/or beaver-based restoration of upland streams and rivers.
Grants up to $25,000 are avaiable for capacity building projects that enhance our collective capacity to implement stream and watershed restoration, such as innovative finance, reducing regulatory barriers, addressing workforce capacity, or facilitating place-based landowner networks.
Grants up to $7,500 are also available for activities to engage landowners and land managers to improve the availability of information and make implementation achievable.
For more information, see the 2026 Riverscape Restoration RFP.
